So sad to learn from google by chance that Clarisa passed away. Cannot believe it. Does anyone here know what happend to her?
Clarisa was a remarkable, adorable, and very helpful friend in New York! I met her in 2000, when I rented a room at her flat at Tiemann Place when I did my journalistic education.
Over the years I visited her several times with my brother, with friends and last in 2010 with my wife and daughter at her nice flat at Ft. Washington Ave and we always had fruitful discussions during great dinner sessions in her kitchen. It was always very special with Clarisa.
She will stay in my heart forever.

Same thing here - very sad to read this. I stayed with her in 2003 for a few months during my internship. I remember her as a very special person, generous and helpful.
